I found this map very interesting. I always see people complaining about kids not saying the pledge of allegiance in school anymore. Guess what? In 43 states it is required by law that the school say the pledge every morning. The states that don't require it are mostly southern states oddly enough. However all the super liberal states do require it.
I always thought this was a fake outrage topic. My daughter has gone to school in several different states and has always said the pledge in the morning so I never knew where these schools were. Apparently they don't exist as most places require it by law.
The real kicker is when we lived in Texas before the kids did the pledge of allegiance they also did a pledge to the Texas flag which always sounded like a succession rant to me but that's a whole other story.
So all of you who have been so worked up about there not being the pledge of allegiance in school....you can now move onto some other fake outrage.
